Its been another long time since I blogged again. With all the heavy wok schedules that I have there is practically little time for me to sleep & even lesser time for me left to blog... =S

But today (after a whole week of hard work) I am determined to blog abit more about what I left off the other time....

Anyway, my client in Shandong in really too OVER-enthusiatic about entertaining us. This came even to the ridiculous extent of bringing us to climb mountain~! =S

And its not just any teeny weeny mountain I am talking about here. Its Mount Taishan. One of the highest mountain here in China (I think).... =S

But well still manage to get some great pics from this trip..hehe

Enjoy...

At the foot of the mountain...

Another great view...

That's me~! All ready to set off~! =)

Fantastic carvings~!

Its a dreamy world up there~! Taken early in the morning...

Taken as I was descending from the mountain...

SUPER steep steps~! Alomst vertical~! Cant imagine how I manage to climb on them the night before.. =S

This map shows how many mountain peaks we have climbed to reach the peak. =S

This is indeed a fruitful trip as we managed to pick a handsome dog from the mountain too.. =P

Talk about being being a great host. They sue make some very great ones.. =P

I went for Corrinne May's Concert today : Christmas with Corrinne May at 7.30pm , Esplanade Concert Hall .

It was certainly one of the best concerts i've been to... with her enchanting voice and meaningful lyrics, all these links to a very beautiful performance, especially with Kavin's (her husband) support and assistance, and the youth choir . =D totally a great concert!

To date there are 3 favorite singers that I really like; Alicia Keys, Jewel Kilcher, and Corrinne May. While most people listen to music for their melody, tempo, beat and such, I find the above singers perform better as they really put their heart and soul into their singing, and you don't really find them like pop-stars. They all start out humble and are still musicians at heart, even now.

Their lyrics are enchanting and meaningful.
You know sometimes listening to their music would be such a good way to relieve my stress and pray sometimes.
I would like to really thank God for having such talented musicians, and i'd like to also thank these musicians for bringing joy to the lifes of others! ^____^

With Corrinne May, and I got my albums autographed! Something for Lixia too! =D

Well also at the same time I asked her about her tour dates in the US as I may end up in one of performances too... (she told me to subscribe to the mailing list which i'm in now =D)

I told her that her concert was beautiful, and thanked Kavin who also happened to be next to her, and that reminded me about Kavin's album and website which i told him that the website was very nice, especially with the part of the puppy sleeping.. check it out at www.kavinhoo.com . His music are very inspirational, and with listening to it my stresses mostly are free...! (*links the topic to the song - Free by Corrinne )

Well I told Kavin the sad thing is that we can't find any of his albums in major record stores Singapore and I was told it's only found in Target stores, which are not found online.. He's coming out a solo album sometime soon, and meanwhile for the album i'm going to try to find it physically in Target stores in the North San Francisco Bay when i'm back there in February.

For those who've not heard Kavin's music please do visit his website at www.kavinhoo.com to check out his music ...

Well before the concert I went around and saw the following:

1) Make a Wish Campaign - Have your wishes and thoughts penned on a floating ball which will be on the Singapore River at New Year's Eve. I drew a Singapore flag wrote the following:

"God Bless Singapore & Have Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!"

2) I saw a very nice exhibtion done with wires... Looks very nice though..

3) Heard part of a Christmas performance that was open to the public.. great music here too..

With all the travelling exposure I get not only do I get a chance to enhance my work experience (as well as my usually lousy mandarin) but also I get to know lots of friends. =P

However there is one particular engagement that I had I had to do all sorts of wierd things that are totally out of scope for my job.. =S

On the 1st day my whole team was dead drunk and I meant really drunk. Even me who usually drank with much caution ended vomitting.. =S

And the cursed drink is: MOU TAI~! =S

Let me give a brief introduction on this wine. It is one of the national drink of China with an alcohol content of
52%. =S

One can really get brain dead by drinking too much of this. Note that I am not one who totally push away drink but the smell of this is simply too pungent. As I would always say: Drinking this is bad for the body. Smelling it can cause you brain dead~! =S

But well, I drank 10 cups of this and they were all bottoms up~! =S

My colleague refuse to bottoms up and so kept the wine in her mouth to be drank slowly. And guess what? The wine burned the inside of her mouth leaving it all numb and "furry".. =S

And after this 1st meal the whole team threw up. Some at the restaurant's toilet (the client booked a room and it comes with its own toilet) and some at the hotel lobby.. =S

As for me I only vomitted when I was alone in my hotel room. Gosh~! From then on I never liked drinking anymore (I usually will drink abit during the festive seasons but not anymore).

And that's about it for the FIRST day in Shandong. And as all would have guessed it just doesn't stop here. But as its just too much to say guess I'll just stop here for now. Look forward to part 2~!

It was a lazy Sunday and I don't have any work on hand. Its quite unusual as from the start I start working I've been working non-stop during the weekdays and if I weren't busy worrying about my work during weekend I'd be spending time with darling. This leave little time for myself to do things for myself. But don't misunderstand me, it not that I don't like to spend my weekends with darling. But its just that sometimes doing some things which you won't usually get the chance to do can be quite an experience too. In fact, it can be quite an enjoyment too... =P

Anyway I woke up only due to the call from the CFO. Aiyo...she even asked me chirpily if I wanted lunch. =S

But all along I thought it was dead in the night. As I've got the curtains drawn and with the aircon at the "low" it just too comfy. So when the CFO told me its already 10am I almost fell from the bed... =P

Well, anyway not too bad la...she gave me 2 hours to prepare and we were off for lunch.

I would say that the taxi fare here is darn cheap. It cost a RMB7 (equivalent to SGD 2) to get to anywhere within the city. =S

But of coz with this kind of fare you can't expect any as good a condition in the cab as compared to in Singapore. I remember there was once I in this cab the cab seat have brown stains of footprints. This made me think as to how these people get into the cab. Step in? =S

Ok...back to the main topic. =P

We took the cab to a shopping district and after much walking decided to go to this rather cozy cafe. Its on the 2nd floor and you could see the whole shopping district from where you are sitting. In addition, all the seats in the cafe are sofa and this really helps to improve the ambience of the place probably to the extent of making it look more classy. =)

Lunch there was indeed a good experience.

With an ambience here so good. I just cant help feeling that I've finally strike it rich and enjoying life... =P

In fact, for the past few days after work I was in that cafe and I could sit there eating ice cream while my colleagues enjoy Belgium Coffee. We could sit there for hours talking and laughing. The kind of life I always want after work... *blessed* =P

Below are some pics I took of the cafe to emphasis my point:

Love the way the table was being set up..

Lovely beef steak. Just that I've asked for too over cooked steak.. =S

The teapot and cup is small. Looks cute and exquite.. =)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Good food never seems enough. Up next is banana split.. =P~~

After that we had tea. Yes all in the same day, same meal... =P

The next few nights we came to this same cafe and these are the stuff that kept us coming for nights to come.. =P

Four scoop ice cream~! Sinful but I don't care.. =P

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The amazing "machine" where belgium coffee was brewed in...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

A waitress was even assigned to pour this coffee for us.. =S

After so much introduction of the food there guess there is one thing I forgot to show and that would probably be the nice ambience of the place. Well as I was all along been too busy witht the food I didn't have much chance to take pic of it.. =s

But here's one. Hope I would be able to take photo of this fantastic cafe.. =P

The whole restaurants had restaurant seats. What a luxury... =)

And now for the downside of this restaurant: Some items on the menu are of much "entertainment" (no pun intended).. =P
